Tiffany Heitkamp had an insatiable love for children and passion for life. She believed in living life to the fullest each day. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central New York is proud to honor Tiffany’s life and legacy by naming the Walk for Wishes in her memory.
You can help make wishes come true for children in Central New York by supporting the 2nd annual Walk for Wishes Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Longbranch Park, Onondaga Lake Park.
The Walk for Wishes is a non-competitive 5K and 1 mile walk with refreshments and fun for the whole family.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York celebrated the inaugural Walk for Wishes in May 2006, raising $6,000 –enough to grant one wish. With the support of over 250 walkers, area companies, families and friends, we celebrated the magic of Make-A-Wish.
In 2007, we witnessed an extraordinary success! Over 650 walkers, local businesses, family, friends, and community members came together for the Tiffany Heitkamp Walk for Wishes to raise an amazing $81,000!!!
The money raised from last years walk helped fund THIRTEEN wishes last year. At an average cost of $6,000 per wish you can see how your support continues to bring hope, strength and joy to children with life threatening medical conditions throughout Central New York. Since September 1, 2007, 35 wishes have been granted with 62 wishes currently in process. Since its founding in 1985, the Central New York chapter has granted over 1,078 wishes for area children – ALL with the help of our business partners, friends and community members!
